1. Definitions

Term	Meaning
Perth Van Hire / Owner	The vehicle hire business operating as Perth Van Hire, ABN 76 885 140 071
Hirer	The person who has made the booking and is named on the hire agreement
Vehicle	The Hyundai iMax people mover hired under this agreement
Hire Period	The period from the agreed pickup time to the agreed return time
Bond	The $650 pre-authorisation held on the Hirer's card at pickup
Deposit	The 30% non-refundable booking deposit paid at time of confirmation
Balance	The remaining 70% of the hire fee payable at pickup

2. Eligibility Requirements

The Hirer must meet ALL of the following before the vehicle will be released:

• Hold a current, valid, full Australian driver's licence (Class C or equivalent)
• Be 21 years of age or older at the time of pickup
• Provisional (P1 or P2) and Learner licences are NOT accepted
• Overseas licences accepted only with a valid International Driving Permit
• Licence must be presented in person at pickup — no exceptions
• Name on licence must match the name on the booking

Perth Van Hire reserves the right to refuse hire to any person who cannot satisfy these requirements. In such cases the deposit is forfeited.

3. Booking & Payment

3.1 How Payment Works — 3 Steps

3.2 Pricing

Cash is not accepted. All payments by card only.

4. Security Bond

Perth Van Hire may make a claim against the bond for: damage to the vehicle, excessive cleaning, fuel shortfall, late return fees, excess kilometre charges, or traffic fines incurred during the hire period. If damage exceeds $650, the Hirer remains liable for the full repair cost.

5. Pickup & Return

5.1 Pickup

• Driver's licence must be presented in person
• $650 bond pre-authorisation placed on card
• Vehicle condition inspection conducted together before departure
• Vehicle provided clean and with a full tank of fuel

5.2 Return

• Vehicle must be returned at the agreed time and location
• Fuel must be returned at the same level as pickup
• Vehicle must be returned in a clean condition
• Bond released within 24 hours of satisfactory return

5.3 Late Return

Late return fee of $30 per hour (or part thereof) deducted from the bond. If a late return affects another customer's booking, the Hirer is liable for any resulting losses.

6. Kilometres & Fuel

7. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by Perth Van Hire	Full deposit refunded

Cancellations must be made in writing to perthvan4hire@gmail.com or via SMS to 0451 774 732.

8. Permitted & Prohibited Use

8.1 Permitted

• Personal and business travel within Western Australia
• Group transport — families, corporate, school, sports, events, weddings
• Travel on sealed public roads only

8.2 Prohibited

• Carrying more than 8 passengers at any time
• Use on unsealed, dirt, gravel, or off-road tracks
• Sub-letting or hiring the vehicle to any other person
• Racing, rallies, or speed events
• Transporting hazardous or illegal materials
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Pushing or towing any other vehicle
• Travel outside of Western Australia without prior written approval
• Commercial passenger transport — this is self-drive hire only. No rideshare, taxi, or charter use.

10. Accidents & Damage

In the event of an accident, the Hirer must:

• Ensure safety of all passengers and call 000 if required
• Notify Perth Van Hire immediately — 0451 774 732
• Obtain details of all other parties involved
• Take photographs of all vehicles, damage, and the scene
• Not admit fault or liability to any other party
• Obtain a police event number if injury or significant damage occurred

The Hirer is responsible for all damage occurring during the hire period including collision damage, tyre damage, windscreen damage, and interior damage. Where damage exceeds the bond, the Hirer remains liable for the full repair cost.

11. Traffic Fines & Infringements

The Hirer is solely responsible for all traffic fines, parking infringements, toll charges, and penalties incurred during the hire period. A $30 administration fee applies to any fine processed by Perth Van Hire on the Hirer's behalf.

12. Privacy

Perth Van Hire collects personal information for the purpose of processing hire bookings. This information is stored securely and not shared with third parties except where required by law or for payment processing.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
